Anyone else had their body type switched, seemingly for no reason?

I tend to do playthroughs where I aim for the female (feminine?) body type while still retaining the dick, but over time, seemingly at random, it switches back ands gets stuck on the masculine body type overnight, regardless of which gender identity I set it to

It's really frustrating, so does anyone know whether there's a workaround or whether it was fixed in an update at some point?

There's no such thing as "no reason" with the transformation system.
Gender identity is only one part of what influences the transformation system.
Since you went from trans back to male body, I'd say you probably gave your MC a large/the largest penis size. Whilst that's great for natural dominance gain, it works against female/feminine transformations. Clothing as well also factors in.
The dreams when sleeping also convey information hinting at transformation paths. You should have seen it mentioning your MC feeling masculine.

To avoid Forced Transformation, restart and select that you've played the game before.
One of the Saya dreams will present the option to disable Forced Transformation and allow you to either avoid the transformation dream when it happens, or an option on the sidebar to disable it entirely.

Has the MC-X always been February? Because it seems like it will take an awful lot of grinding day by day to finally get to February and access that ability.

Not always. It's been pushed back a couple of times to allow the story to be told.
It used to unlock during Chapter 3 iirc, but the decision was made to make it exclusively post-story content.

There's no such thing as "no reason" with the transformation system.
Gender identity is only one part of what influences the transformation system.

The dick in question was small and I had disabled forced transformation, so those aren't the reasons

I don't know whether I'm a weird edge case, I'd have thought this a more common issue as it's happened three times on separate playthroughs and game versions

Yea, i know. I've been subscribed for a while.
That's always how it starts out, and gradually the effort shifts to the art version.
There's several other games that followed the same path.

Whoa... this game already could make a great immersion into the story and characters using real porn, I can't wait what they would be able to do with custom images since that is the biggest drawback of real porn games that you sometimes have to use other actors just to get the scenes you want. I haven't checked it out yet, but looks really promosing so hope people won't completely pitchfork and torch the dev team.

Bruh, Westane has been upgrading AND adding media this whole time. You're either not even playing the game or not even paying attention.

Westane has 0 plans to completely make the game Art Only. People subbed to his Patreon because of the real pics. Unless the porn companies themselves forced him to take them out, they are not going anywhere.

Art is a safety blanket and makes the game much more marketable and shareable. He just wants to make sure it's in as many hands as it can be without alienating anyone. That's why the releases are seperate for the time being

As i mentioned, i've been subscribed for a while now.
Of course i understand the problems with using real photos, and i understand the decision.

He didn't lie, and what you said was, in fact, not valid.
There have been new pics/gifs for characters added over time, particularly with the character reworks. You not noticing, forgetting or just outright ignoring that undeniable fact is nobody else's problem but yours.

I'd say your experience is more an unusually weird case given the frequency of it happening. You're the first I've seen mention this happening, or at least can remember it happening to.

For sure. And yeah I wouldn't worry overall. Art is to spice up the game, not replace what's there. Westane is very aware that a majority of people prefer real pictures so he isn't going to be changing that this year or the next.

How are people still bringing up the John updates? That was 4 years ago!

Plus, he just released a Diana update and about to release another one in a month. Either people have the shortest attention spans in the world or they become hyperfocused on one thing and ONLY that thing.

Art is a BONUS, not the standard. Game is still being updated, characters will be finished, and then the story will be written. It's not the fucking end of the world when Westane does ONE thing different every ONCE in awhile. Fucking hell.

Well, the artwork is good, we can have better for sure but it's not garbage either... & personally i find more appealing drawing art than irl pictures of overused porn actors...
It's fresh & it add personality to the game.

Hope to see the full game with the option to choose between picture & drawing, i know it was a really good add for Free cities to have choice between various characters display arts.

Apart from the characters' eyes, mouths, chins, necks, tits, waists, and general aesthetic, it's really only the flat colouring that's an issue.

But yeah, I recognize that this is a necessary precautionary move, even if I find the particular style wholly off-putting.

yeah, custom art is ok, but *THIS* custom art IMNHO sucks. Just playing through the last release here and frankly unless the art style changes will never play that again.

Really like the art-style.

It makes the game more individual compared to other Twine games with IRL porn actors and should be more future proof.

Only need the offline version of it.

Art images don't bother me. I'd almost perfer them to the over used porn pics and videos. I've been trying to develop a DAZ version on my own, not to take away from the Dev just to see is if I could do it..
